Grace Church Picnic at Beulah Beach

We will be joining our parent church, Grace Church, for a picnic at Beulah Beach. Come join us at the beach for water fun and games. Cost is $8 for food and drinks. Fast tickets available for those interested in the jet skis, zip line, and giant swing. Take a canoe, swim, slide down the water slide, play cornhole, and many other activities! Afterwards, we will have baptisms at the Lake.

We would like to invite you all to the Deaf Christmas Eve service at 3 pm in the downstairs chapel. We will have special music and candlelight. Also, at 5 PM we will have the hearing service with interpreters for those who are interested. Free childcare is available for ages birth - grade K.

Beulah Beach Picnic and Baptism

Every year Grace church hosts a picnic and Baptism at Beulah Beach. They have zip lines, jet skies, canoes, giant tree swings, etc. In addition to this, we take a moment to witness new baptisms in Lake Erie. This year we will be baptizing 3 Deaf individuals. Come join us! Tickets for food are $8/ea. Children 4 and under are free.

Come join us for a one night Deaf Theater Festival! Vote on your favorite play and join the cast for a small party afterwards. All actors use sign language and voicing is provided in the background.

Steve Dye will be presenting his workshop on interpreting music into ASL. It will be $10 at the door (only cash/checks accepted) to support his future ministry. 

Please note, there will be no voicing at this workshop. You will need to understand some sign language. This is mainly for those studying ASL or who are professional interpreters.

Beginner ASL Class and Conversational ASL

The Beginner Sign Language class is designed to build vocabulary and introduce the basics of American Sign Language for people with Deaf family and friends.  The Conversational ASL class is for people who have a strong sign vocabulary and are ready to work toward conversational fluency.  There is no charge or advance registration for these classes. A practice DVD with the vocabulary learned in class is available to students for $5 each.  These classes are especially helpful for people with family and friends or those involved in public service jobs or beginning interpreter training. Children age 10 and older are welcome.

This class is held weekly on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. starting September 13.

Signs of Grace and SignStage presents a Sign Stage on Tour Production of Red Riding Hood and the Not So Bad Wolf. This play takes the original Red Riding Hood story and heavily adapts it to fit a modern Deaf world view. The script follows Red Riding hood who is a child of Deaf adults (CODA) and the wolf (Deaf) whose family does not know sign language. Come join us as we watch Red and the Wolf meet through a series of funny events. Everything that is signed on stage has a voice actor for those who do not know sign language. Whether you are hearing, Deaf, young, or old, this play is for you!
